Last Epoch Season 5 reveals every new Unique and gives the endgame a new front door

Last Epoch’s fourth Season 5 Hype Week reveal covers much more than another pile of orange items. Eleventh Hour Games has shown the full slate of new Uniques planned for Rage of the Frostborn while also detailing Traveler’s Rest and the Nexus, a pair of additions designed to reorganize how players enter and navigate the endgame. The season is scheduled to launch on October 1.

Last Epoch Season 5 reveals every new Unique and gives the endgame a new front door

The Nexus may be the update players touch most often

Traveler’s Rest will sit behind a new town-style waypoint in The End of Time. Eleventh Hour Games describes it as a renamed and upgraded version of Echo of a World, with access to the stash, forge and a merchant. More importantly, it is intended to become the main entry point for the endgame and Monoliths.

Inside it sits the Nexus, a new activity interface that can surface timelines, specific endgame activities, dungeons and factions in one place. Existing ways of reaching that content are not being removed, so this is not a replacement for the underlying activities. It is an attempt to put a cleaner layer over the routes leading to them.

That distinction matters. A new boss gives a player something new to beat once or repeatedly; a navigation layer can affect almost every farming session. Whether the Nexus actually saves enough friction to become indispensable cannot be established before the update is live, but EHG’s stated direction is clear: fewer disconnected stops between the activities that make up the late game.

Season 5’s Uniques are built around rules, not just larger numbers

The studio says this reveal includes every new Unique coming with Season 5. Heorot’s Repose ties Avalanche spell damage to added melee damage and can call down an Avalanche boulder from melee hits. Perilous Reflection makes Marrow Shards return through enemies for a second hit, but asks for a percentage of maximum health to enable that return.

Unbroken Legion is more restrictive. It doubles the maximum skeleton count, can resummon dead skeletons after a delay and grants newly summoned skeletons a short burst of Frenzy and Haste. The trade-off is blunt: non-skeleton specializable minions can no longer be summoned while using it. That turns the helmet into a build decision rather than a generic upgrade.

Unsated Rage adds another layer to the chase. The ring rolls a variant affix when it drops, permanently granting one of 27 Rage buffs that otherwise appear temporarily during the Rage of Morditas encounter. EHG’s examples range from a large area-of-effect bonus to heavy bleed scaling and an Evade interaction that plants explosive blood runes near enemies. Finding the ring and finding the version a particular build wants are therefore two different problems.

Death Dance is the one theorycrafters will probably stare at first

Eleventh Hour Games is also introducing three exceptionally rare Uniques that it says will be much rarer than a Red Ring: Gift of the Eidolon, Eternal Font and Death Dance. Gift of the Eidolon combines Haste and Frenzy with additional effects tied to those buffs. Eternal Font consumes a potion every second even when no potions remain, still activating effects that trigger on potion use.

Death Dance removes Evade’s cooldown and attempts to use the leftmost available specialized skill whenever the character evades. Skills with their own cooldowns still respect them. The studio says the broad range of abilities that can be triggered indirectly required extra work to make the possible interactions behave as expected.

Those mechanics are confirmed design details, not a verdict on their strength. No public launch build has yet established which interactions will dominate, how rare the chase items will feel in practice, or what the final balance landscape will look like once players start combining them with existing systems.

Primalist gets a set change before the patch is even live

Caretaker’s Regrowth and Caretaker’s Wrath form a new two-piece Primalist set focused on Entangling Roots. The set can cause the skill to cast automatically while moving, and EHG has separately confirmed that Entangling Roots’ damage-over-time effect will be able to stack in Season 5. The rest of the skill’s balance changes are being left to the full patch notes.

October 1 is the line between preview and reality

All of these additions are scheduled for Season 5: Rage of the Frostborn on October 1, 2026. EHG’s Hype Week has also covered the Rage of Morditas activity, faction changes and new skills, but the September 24 reveal fills in the loot and endgame-navigation side of the season. Until the update ships, Traveler’s Rest, the Nexus and the new item interactions remain announced features rather than demonstrated live-game results.
