Rev. NOiR Finally Shows Its Combat, With Player Decisions Shaping How You Fight
February's Rev. NOiR reveal mostly gave us lethal light, an ominous world and a hero with an unpleasant destiny. The new footage finally spends considerably more time on the thing players will actually be doing between story scenes.
KONAMI gave Rev. NOiR two new trailers during its September 3 PRESS START broadcast and confirmed a 2027 release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
That platform list is itself new. The original February announcement only confirmed PS5.
Real-time combat now has a clearer RPG layer
The second trailer is the first substantial look at Rev. NOiR's battle system. KONAMI describes it as strategic action combat that combines fast encounters with tactical decision-making.

The footage shows mobile third-person fights, melee attacks and large magical effects, but the important promise sits underneath the spectacle: fighting styles are meant to change according to player choices.
Astral Sigils and Kardieoses are specifically named as mechanics used to develop those styles throughout the adventure.
KONAMI has not yet published a complete mechanical breakdown of either system. For now, they establish direction rather than a build guide.
The PC requirements are already unusually concrete
Steam lists a GeForce RTX 2060 and 16GB of RAM as the minimum configuration. The recommended tier rises to an RTX 4060 Ti and 32GB of memory.
Both specifications ask for 100GB of storage, with an SSD recommended. Windows 11 64-bit and DirectX 12 are also listed.
Full controller support is planned, with gamepad use recommended. Adjustable difficulty and saving at any time are among the accessibility features currently listed.
Asch and Finé now have a more specific mission
The Story Trailer provides the other half of the update. Lightfall kills anyone it touches, and the world is approaching another Lightfall Season in which the phenomenon becomes relentless.
Asch meets Finé and her guard Diana in a remote village. Finé is a young cleric who wields the Rainbow Astria, a power believed capable of ending the Lightfall.

Asch joins her expedition under an Astral Ordinance telling him to save many people. Their immediate targets are the mysterious provitons, creatures believed to be the sources of the deadly phenomenon.
KONAMI is also positioning the conflict around a larger question of divine order versus human will, rather than presenting the party's mission as a straightforward monster hunt.
The date remains simply 2027
The new trailers provide no month or day. Rev. NOiR is still scheduled broadly for 2027.
Wishlists are now open across its announced platforms. Steam currently lists English and Japanese full audio, with French among the supported interface and subtitle languages.
There is finally enough combat footage to start discussing the RPG as a system rather than just a very dramatic rain forecast.
