Apex Legends is fixing Marked now, while Seasons 31 and 32 are lining up much bigger changes

Apex Legends is not waiting for the next season to repair the rougher edges of Marked. Split 2 went live on September 15 with Legend tuning, more healing loot, long-range weapon buffs and broader anti-cheat detection. The roadmap behind it is more interesting still: Ranked changes have been pulled forward into Season 31, before an even larger overhaul in Season 32.

The midseason patch reads like a correction pass on some of Season 30's more aggressive systems. Respawn is keeping the redesigned power curve and Corrupted Attachments, but it is making loot less punishing when matches move into their later stages.

New detection systems are also targeting unauthorized controller hardware and software across PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2. Respawn says flagged players can face enforcement, including bans following review. Console players are explicitly included.

Conduit gets far more control over her Ultimate

Conduit's Energy Barricade now deploys and activates faster, can be rotated into a straight line while aiming and places its jammers in a tighter formation with more vertical coverage.

Her Level 2 upgrades have been replaced as well. Competition allows one immediate second Barricade cast within ten seconds, while Jamming increases jammer range by 25 percent and disrupts the HUD of affected enemies for ten seconds.

The result is less waiting and considerably more control over where a fight is allowed to happen.

Fuse absorbs old upgrades into his base kit

Fuse now has 25 percent explosive damage resistance by default and can highlight nearby explosives. Knuckle Cluster jumping also becomes a baseline part of the Tactical, although the jump itself provides slightly less momentum.

The Motherlode deploys faster and its chain of explosions accelerates. Several upgrades have been reshuffled, including Big Bang, which increases the Knuckle Cluster explosion area by 50 percent.

Respawn says the intention is still to keep Fuse defined by explosives rather than turn him into a mobility Legend.

Catalyst should spend less time fighting her own setup

Catalyst's Piercing Spikes can automatically reinforce or rebuild valid doors when placed against them, and their cooldown falls from 20 seconds to 15. Her Dark Veil also activates significantly faster.

Allies no longer get slowed or blinded when crossing that wall. The new Ferro Frenzy upgrade adds another spike deployment while making each trap smaller and quicker to deal damage.

Loot gets another adjustment

Healing items become more common before loot-bin resets. After a reset, bins contain more items on average, with increased chances for healing, ammunition, survival-slot items and amplifiers.

Respawn has also changed bin logic to greatly reduce empty containers. The first-bin weapon assist can now provide any base weapon when a player has not found a gun, rather than choosing from a restricted group.

The Season 30 loot overhaul is not being reversed. It is being loosened where Respawn's own data and player feedback showed the new progression becoming too lean.

The Charge Rifle gets the nastiest number in the patch

The Triple Take gets a faster aimed fire rate and a slightly larger blue magazine. The Bocek can carry more arrows, including when paired with Sparrow's quiver.

The Charge Rifle's maximum long-range damage rises from 99 to 110, reached beyond 200 meters. Its alternate-fire damage penalty also drops from 40 percent to 25 percent.

The roadmap is now pointing directly at Ranked

Season 31 was already expected to include another Legend rework and a new way to wield an existing fan-favorite weapon. Respawn has since added Ranked updates to that season instead of holding every major competitive change until Season 32.

- Season 30: Bloodhound rework, looting overhaul, Corrupted Attachments, World's Edge update and continued balance work - Season 31: another Legend rework, Ranked updates and a new way to use an existing fan-favorite weapon - Season 32: a new Legend, Legend Class system overhaul and a major Ranked update - Every season: quality-of-life changes, Legend balance, audio work, anti-cheat, matchmaking and server improvements

Season 32 remains the larger structural step. Respawn plans to introduce another new Legend and overhaul the Legend Class system, changing one of the basic frameworks behind squad composition. The previously announced major Ranked update is still scheduled there too.

The roadmap is deliberately described as a living plan, so none of the further-out timing should be treated as immovable. For now, Marked's midseason patch is the cleanup job. Seasons 31 and 32 are where Respawn expects to start moving the furniture again.
