Foxy's Potion Shop Wants to Fit an Alchemist's Life Inside One Very Small Cabin

A cabin, a cauldron and a forest full of neighbors who apparently require potions: Foxy's Potion Shop does not spend much time complicating its setup. The small game from The Foxy Guiz and CCS Games is scheduled for September 29, 2026 on Steam. It will be free and revolves around a simple loop of crafting, selling and helping local residents, with enough furniture to prevent the laboratory from permanently looking like moving day.

The cauldron sits at the center of the shop

Foxy moves into a cabin in the middle of the Magical Forest to become its new potion crafter. Residents arrive with requests, while progression unlocks new ingredients that can be turned into additional potions and sold.

The official description remains deliberately compact and does not promise a sprawling economic simulation. Steam categorizes the game as Casual and Indie, while the tags currently attached to its page include crafting, management, life simulation and cozy themes.

The laboratory can become a reasonably nice home too

The cabin is more than a functional screen surrounding the cauldron. Its interior can be customized with furniture, objects, souvenirs and the equipment used for potion crafting.

That decoration sits alongside interactions with the forest's characters. Foxy can talk to residents and answer their requests, tying the small commercial operation to life in the surrounding community rather than reducing everything to a sequence of recipes.

A two-person visual production

Steam credits The Foxy Guiz and CCS Games as developers, with CCS Games publishing. The store description says the original concept was made with The Foxy Guiz, described as a concept artist intern during the project, and that she produced all of the game's visuals.

The resulting presentation uses colorful 2D artwork and an isometric viewpoint. Foxy, the shop and the anthropomorphic residents of the forest form most of the visual identity shown so far.

Free, single-player and designed to be played at your own pace

Steam lists Foxy's Potion Shop as a free single-player game. Its store features also include Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing.

Accessibility metadata says it can be played without timed input, supports playing at the user's own pace and includes a mouse-only control option. Minimum hardware requirements are modest at 512MB of RAM, a DirectX 11 or OpenGL 3.3-compatible graphics card and 250MB of storage.

French is supported for interface text and subtitles. English is currently the only language listed with full audio. The Steam page checked on launch day listed eleven supported languages in total.

Steam schedules the unlock for 12:00 UTC

September 29, 2026 appears on Steam and in the storefront's release data. SteamDB places the scheduled unlock at 12:00 UTC.

When checked ahead of that time, Steam was still explicitly describing the game as unavailable. Foxy's Potion Shop is therefore scheduled for today, but that should not yet be confused with confirmation that the download has gone live.

The project does not appear interested in turning potion brewing into an industrial operation. A handful of ingredients, requests from neighbors, a cabin to decorate and a fox behind the counter are enough to establish its scale. For a free 250MB game, opening a magical shop without immediately having to manage twelve employees and a spreadsheet sounds almost extravagant.
