Aniimo hits iOS and Android on September 23, one week after PC and consoles
Aniimo finally has a firm launch schedule. Pawprint Studio will open its creature-catching RPG on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on September 16, with the iOS and Android versions arriving seven days later.
The mobile launch date is September 23.
Pawprint Studio announced the schedule on August 26 alongside Aniimo's latest global launch trailer. No official explanation has been given for the one-week gap between mobile and the September 16 PC and console release.
Twine is the mechanic that separates Aniimo from the obvious comparison
Aniimo is an open-world creature collector, so comparisons with Pokémon are inevitable. Its most distinctive mechanic is what happens after a creature joins the collection.
Twine lets the Pathfinder assume the form of a captured Aniimo. Different forms can climb, glide, dive or use other abilities that alter both traversal and puzzle solving.
Combat can also switch between directing creatures and fighting while transformed into one.

Catching is tied to behavior, weather and location
Pawprint describes capture as a process of watching the creature, preparing traps and exploiting environmental conditions rather than relying on one universal encounter pattern.
Different Aniimo and forms can appear according to environment, weather, phenomena and time-related conditions. Earlier tests already used special weather as a requirement for finding particular variants.
It is a fairly ambitious game to put on a phone
Idyll is presented as a seamless open world with forests, volcanic terrain, underwater areas and a floating city.
There are physics-driven puzzles, direct action combat, creature evolution, social spaces and home-building systems. Operation: Egg Heist adds competitive multiplayer in the Lost Isles, where teams search for resources and fight over a Giant Darkler Egg.
That scope makes the mobile build especially interesting. iOS and Android were already included in testing before release rather than being announced as later ports.
The beta does not guarantee final mobile performance
Pawprint continued patching Aniimo throughout its earlier tests and described those builds as works in progress.
The company has not attached a final supported-device list, target frame rate or detailed phone requirements to the August launch-date announcement.
Those details will matter for an open-world action RPG designed to run across phones, PCs and current consoles.
Pre-registration has moved beyond 30 million
Aniimo's official global counter has now passed 30 million pre-registrations.
That unlocks the final advertised milestone reward, the limited Sunlit Meadow outfit, alongside earlier rewards such as Glimmer, Aniipod Ultra items and an avatar frame.
The figure covers the game's global pre-registration campaign across platforms. It is not a count of mobile sales or active players.
It launches free-to-play
Aniimo will be free to download, with in-game purchases.
The final balance between freely earned resources and paid progression will only be clear once the production version is available.
Mobile pre-registration is already being promoted through the official site, App Store and Google Play.
Pawprint has not yet announced an exact launch hour for September 23.
