Xbox Game Pass is about to reshuffle again: Black Ops 6 moves to Premium and eight games leave September 30
September 24 is the quiet day in Microsoft's current Game Pass schedule. The movement resumes tomorrow: Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 expands to Premium, Rematch drops into Essential, Minecraft Dungeons II follows four days later, and eight games disappear from the library at the end of the month.

September 25 is mostly about the tiers
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is not entering Game Pass for the first time on September 25. It is joining Game Pass Premium after already being available through Ultimate and PC Game Pass. That distinction matters in a service where the same title can now arrive at different times depending on the subscription level.
Rematch makes another move on the same day. The five-versus-five football game joins Game Pass Essential while remaining available through Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass. Essential subscribers are therefore getting a genuine addition to their own library.
The rest of this week's schedule has already started. Dune: Awakening and Well Dweller landed on September 22, followed by Mad King Redemption on September 23. Microsoft's published second-wave calendar has no separate addition listed for September 24.
Minecraft Dungeons II lands on day one
September 29 brings the most straightforward new release of the remaining month. Minecraft Dungeons II launches into Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on day one, with Xbox listing cloud, console, handheld and PC support.
It also makes the current tier structure unusually easy to see in practice. Minecraft Dungeons II is a day-one Ultimate and PC title; Black Ops 6 is spreading into Premium later in its life; Rematch is reaching Essential. Three games, three different paths through the same subscription brand.
September 30 removes eight games
One day after Minecraft Dungeons II arrives, eight titles leave the Game Pass catalog. Xbox lists every one of them for cloud, console and PC.
- Atomfall - Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light - Little Nightmares 2 Enhanced Edition - Little Rocket Lab - Sifu - SOPA Tale of the Stolen Potato - Sworn - Terminull Brigade
Atomfall and Sifu are the obvious attention-grabbers, with Little Nightmares 2 Enhanced Edition another sizeable departure. Once these games leave the catalog, a Game Pass subscription no longer provides access to them; continuing to play requires owning the game separately.
October is already queued up
The next wave starts almost immediately. Keeper is scheduled to join Premium on October 2, followed by Gears of War: E-Day on October 6 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
For anyone managing a download queue rather than a spreadsheet, the important dates are short enough to remember: September 25 for Black Ops 6 and Rematch, September 29 for Minecraft Dungeons II, and September 30 for the eight departures.
