The gods of ancient Greece are once again placing the fate of the world in mortal hands.

In Titan Quest II, Nemesis threatens the order of existence, leaving players to develop their abilities and confront creatures drawn from Greek mythology.

THQ Nordic published a new overview on October 29, 2026, coinciding with the opening of Xbox Series X|S preorders.

The full game launches January 19, 2027, on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

That date was originally announced in September. The new information primarily concerns preorder conditions, editions and further gameplay details.

Standard and Ultimate Editions

Titan Quest II is available for console preorder in two digital editions.

The Standard Edition costs €59.99.

It includes the game, the Cosmic Turtle Companion preorder bonus and up to 96 hours of early access.

The Ultimate Edition is priced at €79.99.

It includes the same bonuses alongside the original Titan Quest and its Ragnarök and Atlantis expansions.

THQ Nordic says those older games and expansions become playable immediately after the Ultimate Edition is preordered.

Players who already own a digital edition of the original Titan Quest on Xbox or PlayStation may qualify for a 10% loyalty discount.

The discount is subject to the conditions established by the relevant storefront.

Early access begins January 15

Both console editions include an early-access period of up to 96 hours.

Eligible players can therefore begin their adventures on January 15, 2027, four days before general release.

The Cosmic Turtle Companion is another preorder benefit.

THQ Nordic has not described the companion as an additional character class or a fundamental new combat mechanic.

It should therefore be distinguished from the six masteries that define the game's progression systems.

The situation differs on PC.

Titan Quest II has been available through Early Access since August 1, 2025, so THQ Nordic is not offering an equivalent PC preorder.

The PC Early Access price is scheduled to rise to €39.99 on November 6, while the full 1.0 release will cost €49.99.

Six masteries create fifteen combinations

Titan Quest II places considerable emphasis on character customization.

Instead of permanently choosing one predefined class, players combine two different masteries.

The full game includes Earth, Storm, Warfare, Rogue, Forge and Spirit.

Those six options provide fifteen distinct two-mastery combinations.

Earth focuses on fire and stone abilities, including attacks capable of damaging several enemies.

Storm uses lightning and frost to control the battlefield.

Warfare specializes in physical attacks, while Rogue favors precision, poison and piercing damage.

Forge provides equipment reinforcement, traps and mechanical constructs.

Spirit introduces supernatural abilities, including undead summons and spells powered by life energy.

Build customization goes beyond class selection

The mastery system provides a foundation rather than defining every aspect of a character.

Individual skills can be modified in ways that change how they operate.

For example, a sweeping attack can become a sustained whirlwind ability.

Might, Agility, Vigor and Knowledge provide further attribute customization.

Players are not strictly limited to particular equipment categories based on their mastery choices.

This enables unusual combinations, such as heavily armored magic users or characters that combine summoning with stealth-oriented attacks.

THQ Nordic also confirms that players can reset their specialization choices in exchange for gold.

The system is designed to encourage experimentation without requiring a completely new character whenever players want to try another build.

Combat emphasizes positioning and timing

Grimlore Games wants Titan Quest II to feel more deliberate than some faster-paced action RPGs.

Dodging, positioning and understanding enemy behavior are important parts of the combat system.

Enemies belong to different factions and can coordinate their abilities.

Players must recognize threats and respond appropriately rather than relying entirely on raw damage.

Health potions also reinforce this approach.

Their reserves can recharge when players deal damage, encouraging continued engagement with enemies.

Rituals provide another way to modify the challenge.

They allow players to adjust how demanding encounters become and pursue additional rewards.

A handcrafted world inspired by ancient Greece

The adventure takes place in a mythological interpretation of ancient Greece.

Its locations include the Arkadian Plains, the Wild Lands and Mount Olympus.

Players can explore temples, coastal landscapes, underground caverns and hidden areas.

Grimlore Games emphasizes handcrafted environments designed to reward curiosity.

World quests and hidden encounters can emerge through exploration rather than only through obvious mission markers.

The bestiary includes centaurs, gryphons, cyclopes, satyrs and other creatures inspired by Greek mythology.

The environment therefore serves as more than a backdrop for combat, with secrets and optional challenges scattered throughout the world.

Version 1.0 concludes the story of Nemesis

The PC Early Access period has already introduced additional regions, enemies, masteries, crafting and multiplayer.

Version 1.0 will complete the main storyline.

The fifth and final chapter takes place in the Taygetos Mountains.

The region includes Cyclopes and mechanical automatons associated with mythological forges.

The story culminates in a confrontation with Nemesis, the goddess corrupting the Threads of Fate.

Grimlore Games is also introducing its first endgame activity.

Kaos Curses will allow players to accept additional challenges in return for improved rewards.

Other version 1.0 features include Epic Armors, new enemies, revised masteries and additional equipment changes.

Cooperative multiplayer is confirmed

Titan Quest II supports cooperative multiplayer.

Players can explore its mythological world and battle enemies alongside friends.

Different mastery combinations may create opportunities for complementary party roles.

For example, close-range fighters could operate alongside spellcasters and summoners.

However, the October 29 announcement does not establish every technical limit of console multiplayer sessions.

Cross-play between PC, Xbox and PlayStation should not be treated as confirmed based solely on this information.

Full release scheduled for January 19

Titan Quest II will leave PC Early Access on January 19, 2027, when its PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions also launch.

Console preorders are available, with Standard and Ultimate Editions priced at €59.99 and €79.99.

Eligible buyers can begin playing up to four days early, starting January 15.

The official product information lists French text support, with English and German voice languages.

Grimlore Games has also confirmed that development will continue after version 1.0.

Future updates are planned to introduce additional content and further improvements.

For fans of mythology-inspired action RPGs, the January launch represents the conclusion of the Early Access phase and the arrival of a complete campaign built around six combinable masteries and extensive character customization.
