The Blood of Dawnwalker is out, and Vale Sangora is finally open
The trailers are done doing the explaining. The Blood of Dawnwalker has launched, giving Rebel Wolves its first chance to prove that its unusual mix of open-world RPG structure, vampirism and limited time works outside carefully edited demonstrations.
The Blood of Dawnwalker arrived on September 3 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Published by Bandai Namco, it is the debut game from Polish studio Rebel Wolves after more than four years of development.
Coen gets two lives, but not unlimited time
Vale Sangora is a fictional Carpathian valley caught in the turmoil of 14th-century Europe. Vampires have stepped into the vacuum created by war and plague, while protagonist Coen exists somewhere between their world and the human one. During the day he is human. At night, his vampiric abilities take over.
That split is more than a character hook. Rebel Wolves built different abilities and approaches around the day-night cycle, so the same world does not offer exactly the same options at every hour.

The larger constraint is time itself. Important quests move the clock forward, and Coen cannot simply clear every icon before returning to the main story. Choosing what deserves attention is part of the RPG structure, with the studio explicitly allowing both actions and ignored problems to reshape events.
Rebel Wolves is already thinking beyond one game
The studio calls this release the opening chapter of an original saga. That makes Dawnwalker an unusually ambitious debut: Rebel Wolves is not only introducing a protagonist and combat system, but establishing Vale Sangora as the foundation for something larger.
The first test is now in players' hands. The Blood of Dawnwalker is available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
