GTA VI Is Getting Two Limited DualSense Controllers With More Than a Logo Swap
Licensed controllers often stop at a new colour and a logo on the touchpad. Sony's two Grand Theft Auto VI DualSense designs add something more tactile: palm-tree patterns are moulded into the grips, while the central finish shifts through Vice City's blues, purples and pinks as the light changes.

Sony Interactive Entertainment unveiled two Grand Theft Auto VI Limited Edition DualSense controllers during the September 3 State of Play. Both are scheduled to launch starting November 19, the same date as Rockstar's game, with pre-orders opening September 10.
The recommended European price is €84.99 for either model.
The choice is essentially Vice City before or after sunset
The White Limited Edition draws on the lighter side of the setting: beaches, pastel skies and daytime Vice City. Sony describes the Black Limited Edition around the city's nightlife instead.
Both use the same colour-shifting treatment around the centre of the controller and official GTA VI branding on the touchpad. Palm-tree shapes are moulded directly into the shell rather than simply printed on top.
That small surface detail gives the design a functional side. The visual treatment is obvious in photographs; the moulded pattern is something players should also notice through their hands.
Availability differs between the two colours
The white controller will be sold in limited quantities globally through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers.
Where PlayStation Direct operates, the black model is exclusive to Sony's own store. Select retailers will handle it in other regions.
Pre-orders open at 10am local time on September 10 in France, the UK, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Sony says exact launch dates and availability can vary by region.
GTA VI itself makes broader use of the controller
Sony has separately detailed how Grand Theft Auto VI uses the standard DualSense feature set on PS5. Haptic feedback reacts to gameplay events, while the adaptive triggers provide changing resistance.
The controller's integrated speaker will also handle selected sound effects, paired with haptic feedback during certain interactions.
Those features are part of the game's PS5 implementation rather than something exclusive to these collector designs. A regular DualSense retains the same underlying hardware functions.
The controller and the game meet on November 19
Sony lists the Limited Edition DualSense at €84.99, £74.99, $84.99 or ¥12,480 depending on market.
Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled for November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The controllers begin launching on that same date.
