DAVE THE DIVER's September 17 mobile release is the full game, not a stripped-down spin-off
DAVE THE DIVER already works comfortably as a portable game. On September 17, that portability shrinks from a handheld console to a phone. MINTROCKET says the iOS and Android version is a full port, with several small changes aimed specifically at playing on a touchscreen.
DAVE THE DIVER launches globally on iOS and Android on September 17.
MINTROCKET confirmed the date in August, following an earlier mobile release in China with X.D. Network.
The App Store description is unusually explicit about what players are getting: the mobile edition is a full port of the original PC game.
The opening section is free
Mobile changes how the game is sold.
Players will be able to download the app and play its opening portion without paying. Continuing into the complete game requires an in-app unlock.
The US App Store currently lists that full-version purchase at $9.99. Regional stores may use different pricing.

MINTROCKET found one particularly appropriate use for the gyroscope
Serving tea at Bancho Sushi has been redesigned around the phone itself.
Instead of reproducing the interaction entirely with virtual buttons, players can tilt their device to control the pouring motion.
It is a tiny mechanic in a much larger game, but it is also one of the few announced changes that could only really make sense on a device equipped with motion sensors.
View distance can be adjusted
The mobile build includes three view-distance settings.
MINTROCKET has not published a detailed device-by-device performance table, so the announcement does not establish what frame rates or visual settings particular phones will achieve.
Another quality-of-life change appears in the Sea People Village, where Dave can fast travel directly to different NPCs.
The core structure has not been redesigned for mobile
Dave still dives into the Blue Hole during the day, hunts sea creatures, collects materials and manages an oxygen supply that determines how long an expedition can continue.
At night, the catch becomes the inventory for Bancho Sushi.
Money earned at the restaurant feeds back into equipment and future dives, preserving the loop that defined the original release.
Apple's listing also advertises more than 200 kinds of sea creatures along with side quests, minigames and multiple storylines.
Recent DLC is coming with it
The September release will not start from the game's original 2023 content state.
MINTROCKET says popular additional content including the DREDGE pack and In the Jungle will be available on mobile at launch.
In the Jungle only arrived on the other platforms on June 18, 2026.
DAVE THE DIVER Digital Extra is also included for players who purchase the full game.
The iOS download currently weighs 3.3GB
Apple currently lists the application at 3.3GB and requires iOS 13 or later.
The same listing includes iPad support and Game Center achievements.
MINTROCKET's launch announcement does not provide an equally detailed Android hardware requirement list.
China has already given MINTROCKET a mobile test
The global release is not the first time DAVE THE DIVER has appeared on phones.
A Chinese mobile edition launched earlier through a partnership with X.D. Network.
Nexon says that version has sold more than one million copies. The figure is a company-reported milestone rather than an independently audited sales total.
Its existing rhythm may matter more than the port itself
DAVE THE DIVER is already divided into fairly clean activities: a dive, preparation, restaurant service, dialogue, minigames and the next expedition.
That rhythm makes it easier to imagine on a phone than a game built entirely around uninterrupted two-hour missions.
Touch controls remain the less predictable part. Aiming a harpoon while navigating underwater hazards leaves considerably less physical feedback than a controller provides.
MINTROCKET has confirmed the September 17 date. The final mobile interface is what players will actually have to judge.
