CD PROJEKT RED still has two secret games in development beyond its announced lineup

CD PROJEKT RED's public roadmap already stretches through major Witcher and Cyberpunk projects. It is still incomplete. During the company's H1 2026 earnings call, CFO Piotr Nielubowicz confirmed that two unannounced game projects remain in the development phase.

The statement came in response to a direct question about projects that are currently being capitalized, meaning games that have moved into development rather than remaining at an earlier research stage.

Nielubowicz's answer was precise on the number and deliberately useless for anyone hoping to guess the titles: two.

Two projects exist, but CDPR is not naming them

No franchise, release window, platform list or project title was attached to either game. That makes the confirmation useful as a picture of CD PROJEKT RED's production pipeline, but not as evidence for any specific rumored game.

Several other projects are already public. The Witcher 4 is targeting 2028. Cyberpunk 2 is in development without an announced release date. Project Sirius remains in pre-production, where its team is testing ideas for a multiplayer-focused Witcher project.

CD PROJEKT RED did not say that Sirius is one of the two projects counted in the latest answer. Assigning either slot to an existing codename or an imagined new franchise would go beyond what the company disclosed.

The Witcher 4 already dominates headcount

The scale of the known projects is easier to quantify. As of July 31, 519 developers were working on The Witcher 4.

Cyberpunk 2 had 184 developers. Together, those two games account for more than 700 developers before the rest of CD PROJEKT RED's production slate is considered.

The Witcher 4 remains the largest project. CD PROJEKT RED has also said that its current development build is maintained in a launchable state across its target PC, PlayStation and Xbox platforms. That does not mean the full game is complete; it describes the studio's cross-platform production process.

The road to 2028 has several Witcher stops

The public Witcher calendar is unusually dense. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered launches September 29, 2026, followed by the Songs of the Past expansion in 2027 and The Witcher 4 in 2028.

Songs of the Past is a useful reminder of how CD PROJEKT RED handles these disclosures. Before its announcement, the expansion itself had been counted among the company's unannounced projects.

The Witcher 3 has now sold more than 65 million copies, while the wider Witcher game series has passed 90 million. The old catalog is not sitting quietly while the next trilogy is built.

A profitable back catalog buys development time

CD PROJEKT RED reported PLN 435 million in revenue for the first half of 2026, up 23 percent year over year. Consolidated net profit reached PLN 249 million, a 37 percent increase.

Sales from the Cyberpunk and Witcher families remain central, while licensing has become a larger contributor through projects extending those properties beyond individual game releases.

The company therefore has several publicly identified projects, hundreds of developers attached to its two largest new games, and two more development projects it is not ready to name.
