Arena Breakout: Infinite is already tuning Utopia while its autumn schedule fills up

Season 7 has barely had time to settle in before Morefun Studios started sanding down some of its rougher edges. Arena Breakout: Infinite’s September 24 live update increases weapon damage against mutants, trims zombie spawns and improves the Smelter, while a new event schedule now stretches through late October. Supplies Drops 2.0 is also confirmed to return this fall, though Morefun has not attached an exact date to it.

Utopia’s zombies have already earned their first balance pass

Morefun has increased weapon damage against mutants across Infected Zone, Heavy Infected Zone, Zombie No Man’s Land and Zombie Endless. Mutant numbers are also being slightly reduced in the two Infected Zone variants, and activating a safe will no longer trigger fresh mutant spawns.

Those are targeted changes to systems that only went live with Season 7 on September 16. Infected Zone folds mutants into the standard PvPvE extraction structure, while Zombie Endless removes hostile operators and focuses on cooperative PvE survival. Eight days later, Morefun is already reducing some of the pressure created by the new enemies rather than waiting for a distant seasonal reset.

The update also removes every fumigator from TV Station and lowers the difficulty of selected Homecoming-stage seasonal missions.

Three purple items now come with an actual guarantee

Trash to Treasure is getting a small but unusually easy-to-measure improvement. Morefun says early-season price fluctuations hurt the usefulness of the Smelter, so the output value of purple and gold miscellaneous items has been increased.

Using three purple miscellaneous items now guarantees one gold miscellaneous item. Smelting three gold items can also produce more valuable results than before.

For an extraction game, that kind of reliability matters. Loot only feels valuable if the systems waiting outside the raid give players a sensible reason to keep it rather than immediately deciding that the market was the real final boss.

Season 7’s Field Merchant gets some emergency bookkeeping

The new Field Merchant had a couple of problems that were considerably less entertaining when they involved a player’s Koen. One issue could deduct the wrong amount during a trade, while another could prevent further interaction with the merchant. Both are listed as fixed.

The same patch addresses the AK-15SC occasionally failing to fire immediately after a magazine check, incorrect armor information in Hit Details, the Important Bio-Sample failing to refresh near Mutation Traces in Infected Zone Valley, and a PAS2 helmet bug that could incorrectly block raid audio.

September 28 is where the autumn schedule becomes busy

Autumn Gift started on September 24 and runs through October 11, offering rewards for consecutive logins and Challenge Missions. The larger Bountiful Autumn block begins September 28.

Bountiful Autumn Challenge and its Store run through October 25. Challenges award Koen, Random Featured Weapon Bundles and Autumn Harvest Points, with the Store offering seasonal weapon skins and a choice between limited T191 and M24 Tac-Master skins.

Dark Zone Patrol runs from September 28 through October 28, sending Paul out for supplies, intel photos and a chance at high-value collectibles. Vinson Challenge uses the same date range and lets players spend Koen to accept challenges for additional seasonal rewards.

There is also a 780,000-Koen reason to keep opening safes

The Autumn event introduces a limited Lunar Soil Sample collectible worth 780,000 Koen. Morefun says the 2×2 item can appear in safes across every map during the event.

The broader Biohazard event series remains active as well. Weekly Extermination objectives provide Hazmat Suit Supply Passes for the themed reward pool, keeping the zombie side of Utopia connected to the season’s cosmetic progression instead of existing as a one-week launch novelty.

Supplies Drops 2.0 is next, but Morefun is not dating it yet

The other significant item on the near-term schedule is Supplies Drops 2.0. Morefun says the mode will return this fall with a progression structure built around Reward Crate XP. Searching containers, eliminating rival players and using terminals will all help level the team’s reward crate.

The reworked version is also supposed to increase the frequency of mid-to-late-raid airdrops, add team numbers and more phase voice announcements, and introduce heavily armored AI units. Season 7 material has already outlined deeper crate progression and terminal mechanics around the mode.

What Morefun has not provided is a precise launch date for that return. The dated part of the current roadmap reaches into late October; Supplies Drops 2.0 is simply marked for this fall. Until then, the September 24 patch is doing the less glamorous but necessary work of making Utopia’s zombies, economy and new systems behave a little better.
