Another Eden Begins now has a six-chapter demo, and your progress carries over

Another Eden Begins is giving players considerably more than a tutorial-sized preview. Its newly released demo covers the first six chapters of the story, and Wright Flyer Studios is letting both story progress and character stats move into the full game.

The free demo arrived on September 2 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and Steam. It covers the opening six chapters and is designed as a direct starting point for anyone planning to continue when the full version launches later this month.

Save transfer is easy on Switch and considerably less elegant on PC

Nintendo players can import their demo data when starting a fresh copy of the full game. Steam users have a few more hoops to jump through. Wright Flyer Studios instructs players to temporarily disable Steam Cloud, manually copy the demo's SaveDataDemo folder into the full game's directory and rename it before launching.

There is a separate procedure for Steam Deck using Desktop Mode and the Proton compatdata folders. It works on the same principle, but nobody is going to mistake it for a one-button transfer.

Begins rebuilds the opening Another Eden story as a premium RPG

The project is based on the first major storyline from Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space, the mobile RPG first released in Japan in 2017. Begins restructures that material into a standalone single-player game rather than requiring players to enter the original free-to-play ecosystem.

Aldo's search for his kidnapped sister Feinne again sends the party between three eras: antiquity in 20,000 BC, the present in 300 AD and a technologically transformed future in 1100 AD.

Masato Kato handles scenario and direction through Studio Prisma, while Yasunori Mitsuda composed the main theme. The wider soundtrack comes from Procyon Studio and combines orchestral music with traditional instruments.

The combat has more to do than preserve the original systems

The playable roster totals 19 characters. Battles remain command-based and emphasize party composition, but Chain Skills create sequences of consecutive attacks while the returning Another Force system lets a charged gauge unleash a rapid barrage.

New Game+ is another substantial addition. After clearing the main story, players can carry their developed characters into a new adventure involving a mysterious girl. Wright Flyer Studios says choices and actions can lead to more than ten different endings.

The date depends on which storefront you are looking at

Wright Flyer Studios lists the worldwide release as September 17, 2026 for Switch 2, Switch and Steam. European Steam and Nintendo storefronts currently display September 16 because of regional unlock timing.

The important date for anyone curious about the game is already behind us: the six-chapter demo is available now, and its progress does not have to be thrown away at launch.
