Summoners War is handing out a maxed 5★ and turning rune farming into a giant reroll
A twelve-year-old progression game has a peculiar problem: new players are starting twelve years behind everyone else. Summoners War's latest answer is unusually aggressive, with a selectable natural 5★ arriving awakened, six-starred, level 40 and fully skilled.
Sky Fever Season 2026 is less about adding another dungeon than removing a substantial amount of friction from building an account. Through October 25, players can choose from a pool of fifteen natural 5★ Monsters and summon one in a state that normally requires several separate progression steps.
The Monster arrives awakened, evolved to 6★, at level 40 and with its skills already maxed. Players are also given one opportunity to replace that choice later in the event, although doing so removes the previously summoned event Monster.
Rune progression gets the bigger experiment
Another event lets players craft a complete six-piece set of 6★ Legend Runes every day. Every Rune in those generated sets must have a score of at least 80, giving the six slots a combined minimum score of 480.
Up to 54 complete sets can be created before the event ends. Only one is kept permanently, so the system effectively gives players dozens of attempts to roll something worth locking in rather than simply dumping 54 endgame sets into an account.

There are also four pre-upgraded +15 combinations available through the broader Fever event: Rage and Blade, Despair and Will, Violent and Destroy, plus Swift and Focus.
Com2uS is attacking several old bottlenecks at once
Fever Tokens can also be spent on selected natural 4★ Monsters. Three can be chosen from each of the Fire, Water and Wind pools, producing nine selectable units in total.
Skill upgrades are part of the package as well, with up to five upgrades available for owned natural 5★ Monsters and as many as thirty for natural 4★ units. New and returning players receive additional missions and daily rewards on top of the standard event structure.
It is a fairly direct catch-up system. Summoners War still revolves around building a collection and optimizing it, but the developers are increasingly willing to skip parts of the oldest resource grind so players can reach the actual team-building decisions sooner.
Update 9.3.0 cleans up the game around it
The event arrived just after version 9.3.0, which raised rewards in several established modes. Tartarus' Labyrinth now offers more chests and better reward quality, with stage Rune, Grindstone and Enchanted Gem grades moving from Rare-Legend to Hero-Legend. Rune chests now contain 5★ or 6★ Runes rather than starting at 4★.
Monster Subjugation has also had lower-tier reward probabilities reduced. Rare Runes, Grindstones and Enchanted Gems have been removed from trophy chests.

World Arena Challenge Battle received a more structural change. Instead of fourteen Monsters individually assigned to each player, the new season gives each side twelve individual Monsters alongside a common pool of six shared choices. Picking one of those shared Monsters immediately denies it to the opponent.
Relics can now be equipped to up to 150 Monsters instead of 100, they can be managed from the battle preparation screen, and Rune searches have gained a score filter. Com2uS also added a dedicated search option for Monsters required as fusion materials.
September is mostly about shortening the distance to a usable account
Sky Fever Season 2026 runs through October 25, with an additional day to claim rewards. Summoners War: Sky Arena remains available on iOS and Android, alongside its PC version.
The revised Tartarus rewards begin with the next Labyrinth session on September 5. September's Dark-attribute Chaos Temple boss follows on September 6.
