Pokémon Pokopia is turning Expansion Pass Part 2 into a fashion show for Ditto and the whole town
Pokémon Pokopia already lets us build houses for creatures perfectly capable of producing their own electricity or fire. Apparently the next logical step is choosing their accessories. Expansion Pass Part 2 will let Ditto and Pokémon residents dress up together, while keeping its ambitions smaller than Bubbly Basin's new underwater town.
The Pokémon Company and Nintendo revealed a closer look at Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass Part 2 during the September 9 Nintendo Direct.
The release window remains late 2026, exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2.
Where Part 1 expanded the map through Bubbly Basin, Part 2 concentrates on another side of a life simulation: making everyone look exactly as ridiculous or coordinated as the player wants.
Pokémon residents are getting their own accessories
Ditto is not the only character that can use the new customization system. Pokémon living around the player's settlements can wear accessories too.
The first confirmed examples include sunglasses, bow ties and a ribbon modeled after Sylveon's design.
The footage shows items placed around different parts of a character's head and neck, giving the feature more flexibility than a single costume slot.
Pokopia is already built around making a space personally recognizable through houses, crops, furniture, habitats and clothing. Extending that visual authorship to the residents is a natural fit.
It does not improve a Pokémon's statistics. In a game where somebody may spend an evening arranging a flower garden around one particular resident's home, that hardly makes it unimportant.
Doduo, Skitty and Braixen appear in the trailer
Part 2 also adds more Pokémon.
The new footage includes Doduo, Skitty and Braixen, while The Pokémon Company promises additional species beyond those currently shown.

More furniture is coming as well.
The total number of Pokémon, accessories and furniture pieces has not been announced yet. Further details are being saved for later.
This is not another Bubbly Basin
Nintendo is unusually explicit about one limitation: Part 2 does not contain a new town.
That separates it sharply from the first Expansion Pass wave.
Bubbly Basin added an underwater settlement, new Pokémon, buoyant building blocks, ocean-themed furniture and activities built around the Dive move introduced through a free software update.
Part 2 is more of an expansion to the game's existing social and decorating systems than another large geographical addition.
The next new town is waiting in Part 3
Pokopia's Expansion Pass consists of three content waves included in a single purchase.
Bubbly Basin is available now. Part 2 arrives later in 2026. Part 3 is scheduled for 2027 and is already confirmed to include another town to explore and rebuild.
That structure makes Part 2 the connective tissue between two larger location-based additions rather than an attempt to compete with them directly.
A Sylveon ribbon makes unusual sense for Ditto
Pokopia's protagonist is already built around imitation.
The player controls a Ditto that has transformed into a human-like shape and gradually learns useful moves from Pokémon it befriends. Bulbasaur can teach Leafage, Lapras provides Surf and Dragonite enables Glide.
An accessory that lets Ditto visually match another Pokémon extends the same idea without adding another traversal mechanic.
Ditto has spent the game learning what its neighbors can do. It can now borrow part of their wardrobe too.
There is still no exact release date
The Pokémon Company is only committing to late 2026 for Part 2.
Pokémon Pokopia itself launched March 5 for Nintendo Switch 2. Its paid Expansion Pass is available now and unlocks each of its three parts as they release.
Part 2 may be the smallest of the currently outlined waves geographically. For a life simulation, however, giving an entire town a wardrobe is the kind of small feature that can consume an unreasonable amount of playtime.
