Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave has received the first wave of its paid Expansion Pass on Nintendo Switch 2. The initial addition consists of prototype weapons inspired by the Hero's Relics from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Divine allies and outfits are planned for late 2026, while substantial new story content and playable additions are scheduled for 2027.

The new Fire Emblem is here. Fortune's Weave launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 with four heroes, a tournament that grants one wish and a future that has already been destroyed. Intelligent Systems' more interesting tactical addition is considerably smaller: every time a hero leans on a powerful Blaze Art, the game moves them closer to a punishment that can cut their maximum health in half.

The new Fire Emblem arrives on Switch 2 with a useful answer to one of Three Houses' most permanent decisions. Picking Cai, Dietrich, Theodora or Leda does not shut the other stories away. Fortune's Weave lets players move between all four routes before those journeys eventually combine into a single force.
Intelligent Systems pushes Fire Emblem into gigantic tactical-RPG territory, with four intertwined paths, a world map and layers of systems orbiting remarkably strong battles. That abundance is both the game's defining strength and the source of its roughest stretches.
