Tarkov's next wipe is bringing much more than another empty stash

Escape from Tarkov has mapped out the rest of 2026, and December's Season 2 reset is only one part of it. The preliminary plan stretches across five major updates, with some of the most consequential additions aimed directly at how raids flow.

Lighthouse gets the first major intervention with update 1.1.5.0. The Rogue base is moving away from the water treatment plant and into the chalet area, freeing up the industrial section for looting and movement while turning the chalet into a fortified position.

Battlestate is also adding smaller points of interest, Rogue caches, observation posts and an underground path beneath the cliffs. New terrain and vegetation around some PMC spawns are intended to give players more options during the dangerous opening moments of a raid.

Lighthouse will become the third location with a BTR route. Most landmines are being removed, while USEC players will lose their special treatment from Rogues: both PMC factions will be attacked on sight.

Leagues make ordinary raid XP competitive

The new Leagues system is due shortly after 1.1.5.0. Players are assigned to groups of 50 within the same rank, then compete on a weekly leaderboard based on XP earned through kills, quests, item examination and other normal Tarkov activities.

The top 25 move up, 15 stay where they are and the bottom 10 are relegated. Rewards earned the first time a new rank is reached remain permanently unlocked.

PvE is getting progression beyond simply never wiping

Update 1.2.0.0 is planned for late September or early October and focuses heavily on PvE. Battlestate lists changes to bot spawning and AI behaviour, a reworked raid reconnection system and Prestige progression for PvE players.

Prestige is an unusual fit in a useful way. Persistent PvE exists specifically for players who do not want mandatory wipes, so an optional reset with lasting rewards can provide another long-term objective without forcing the entire mode back to zero.

Season 2 introduces End of the Line

December's 1.4.0.0 update is the largest block on the roadmap. Season 2 starts alongside End of the Line, a full raid location with the new boss Povodyr. Battlestate has said the location will first be introduced through a more controlled experience similar in concept to Icebreaker.

The FAMAS and G3 are also scheduled to join the armoury. Other planned additions include simplified GPS, first-person magazine-loading animations and containers for predefined gear setups.

Squad combat gets the potentially bigger change. Battlestate plans to introduce a downed state with healing and revival by teammates. Tarkov has traditionally made losing a teammate brutally final, so even a limited opportunity to recover an incapacitated player changes what a squad can risk after the first person goes down.

The roadmap remains explicitly preliminary. Lighthouse and 1.1.5.0 are scheduled first in September, while Season 2 and End of the Line are currently planned for December.
