Nivalis Nights Opens for Business September 29, and Curfew Is Apparently Good for Sabotage
Cloudpunk made Nivalis a place to cross. Nivalis Nights wants players to live there. ION LANDS and 505 Games have scheduled the single-player cyberpunk life sim for September 29 at 15:00 UTC on Steam, starting its new residents with a noodle stand and eventually letting them run restaurants and nightclubs. What happens between shifts ranges from furnishing apartments to fishing, romance and considerably less respectable business activity after curfew.
A business empire starts with noodles
The familiar city now supports an entirely different game. Rather than building another delivery adventure around Cloudpunk's structure, ION LANDS has turned Nivalis into a place where the player's schedule matters. A humble food business can grow into restaurants, ramen bars and nightclubs, with ingredients either purchased or grown.
Business is only one claimant on the clock. Each day can instead be spent following a resident's story, working on a relationship, furnishing a home or simply leaving the commercial empire alone for a while. Nivalis Nights is explicitly single-player, with Steam listing no multiplayer component.
The canals are useful when the restaurant can wait
Players can own a boat, travel across the city and fish its waters. Homes can be purchased and decorated, while friends can also become part of the customization side of the game. NPC challenges and a chess tournament add smaller diversions around the larger management and relationship systems.
That combination makes the term “life sim” more useful than treating Nivalis Nights as a restaurant-management game. The businesses fund and occupy a life in the city rather than forming the entire game around them.
Nivalis still has teeth
The rain and neon do not conceal an especially safe city. CorpSec crackdowns affect the district while a mysterious serial killer forms part of the surrounding story. Curfew introduces another set of opportunities: security systems can be avoided and rival businesses sabotaged.
ION LANDS warns that competitors can respond in kind. Weather and the day-night cycle sit alongside those systems, meaning a quiet evening of fishing and an illegal visit to somebody else's business technically belong to the same daily planner.
The old Nivalis name changed, the city did not
The project spent years simply called Nivalis. ION LANDS renamed it Nivalis Nights in June 2026 while confirming the September release date, stressing that the title change did not represent a different game. By September 17, the studio said it had passed one million Steam wishlists.
Its connection to Cloudpunk does not require prior homework. The setting is shared, but Nivalis Nights is intended to stand alone, and its focus on business ownership and everyday routines makes the mechanical relationship between the two games fairly distant.
The PC requirements are less cozy than the noodle stand
Launch pricing is $24.99, €24.99 or £21.99, accompanied by a 10% introductory discount. The September 29 Steam release is scheduled for 15:00 UTC. Windows is the confirmed launch platform, while an Epic Games Store version is planned for later; no console release has been announced.
The minimum specification targets 1080p and 30fps at the very-low preset without upscaling. It requires 16GB of RAM, a Core i5-11600K or Ryzen 5 3600 and at least a GTX 1660 Super, RTX 3050, Radeon RX 6600 or Intel Arc A750 with 6GB of VRAM. An SSD and 42GB of storage are required.
The recommended target is much steeper: 1440p at 60fps on high settings, again at native resolution, with a Core i5-13600K or Ryzen 5 7600 paired with an RTX 4070 or RX 7800 XT carrying at least 12GB of VRAM.
September 29 is confirmed; storefront availability follows the clock
Steam lists September 29 as the release date and the developers' September 24 announcement specifies the 15:00 UTC launch time. Store data checked during verification still described the game as unavailable ahead of its unlock, so the confirmed launch date should not be confused with evidence that every region can already purchase and play it at an earlier hour.
Steam lists eleven interface and subtitle languages, including French, with full audio limited to English. Achievements, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing are supported. Nivalis used to be somewhere Cloudpunk asked players to survive while completing the next delivery. This time, keeping the noodle shop stocked may be the more immediate emergency.
