BioEden launches on PC and consoles at the same time after all
BioEden is officially out, and its console versions arrived earlier than the original June announcement suggested. Focus Entertainment launched the game across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 on September 3.
When BioEden was unveiled in June, September 3 belonged to the PC version while the console editions were still listed for a later date. That distinction has disappeared. The full game launched on all four announced platforms at once.
A management game built around ecosystems
The setup puts the player in the role of a Keeper working for the Cosmic Collective. The planet is barren, its wildlife has been lost, and the job is to rebuild functioning ecosystems one reserve at a time.
That means establishing interconnected domes, finding and spending resources, extending water and power networks and cleaning damaged areas. Lakes can be purified and obsolete structures recycled as previously hostile land becomes suitable for plants and animals again.
Animal restoration is tied directly into those systems. Players collect DNA samples and prepare habitats for dozens of species, taking factors such as vegetation, temperature and humidity into account before introducing them to a biome.

The cozy part is more than presentation
BioEden's bright solarpunk look is paired with a deliberately low-pressure structure. Broken Arms Games describes a game without fail states, allowing players to tend, explore and reorganize the planet at their own pace rather than constantly fighting a loss condition.
There is still progression beyond simply making the map greener. Players develop progression trees, complete requests from the Collective and gradually uncover the story behind the Great Unraveling that devastated the world.
BioEden launched on September 3, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
